Free Teacher Membership
Admission, discounts, early registration, and special events!
The Ocean Institute is excited to offer a free individual membership to all teachers!
The membership includes year-round admission to the Ocean Institute, discount on activities such as whale watching, early registration for special events, and 10% off at the Laurena G. Chambers Gallery Book and Gift store.
Visit us to be inspired by our STEM offerings and get some ideas to take back to your classroom!
We are open on the weekends to the public for tours of our facilities, fish dissections, touching animals in our shark touch tank and Discovery Pool Touch Tank, and more!
Eligibility:
- K-12 teachers and college professors currently employed in a public or private school.
- Limited to California educators.
- Must have valid school e-mail address to apply.

Teacher Membership Application
Please be sure to email proof of occupation to our Guest Services department at guestservices@oceaninstitute.org in order to complete your membership application. Failure to provide proof of current occupation will disqualify membership application. Examples Include: Pay Stub, Teacher ID Badge, or State Issued Educators License.
